Session Description:

Pushing the Boundaries of Educational Possibility

In a world characterised by rapid change, uncertainty, and boundless opportunities, the future of education lies not in timid steps but in audacious leaps. As educators in New Zealand, we are entrusted with shaping the minds of tomorrow's leaders, innovators, and visionaries. While our immediate focus must be on working to meet the needs of those in our schools and classrooms, we must also be educating for the future, drawing wisdom from our past experiences, and determined to resolve the constraints that have hindered progress for far too long.

Derek’s keynote will include a personal reflection of some of the key changes in our lives as educators, and challenge us to break through the conventional limitations imposed by institutional systems, structures, and processes. He will inspire us to be daring in our vision, challenging us to be more equitable and inclusive in our approach, infusing innovation and creativity into the very core of our educational endeavours.

Education For The Unborn: Expanding Our Time Horizon
